Free Family Movies to be Screened Every Other Wednesday This Summer in Valor Park

Every other Wednesday night this summer there will be complimentary movies at Valor Park.  Running from June 13th to August 8th, The Market Common will offer free movies beginning at dusk, which is about 9 PM.  Bring a blanket or lawn chair and the whole family for Movies Under the Stars.  Prior to each feature, a “short film” that previously competed at the Myrtle Beach International Film Festival will be screened.  The film festival returns to The Market Common in April 2019.   Here is this summer’s line-up:

WONDER – June 13th

Based on the New York Times bestseller,  Wonder tells the incredibly inspiring and heartwarming story of August Pullman, a boy with facial differences who enters 5th grade, attending a mainstream elementary school for the first time.

 

PADDINGTON 2 – June 27th

Paddington, now happily settled with the Brown family and a popular member of the local community, picks up a series of odd jobs to buy the perfect present for his Aunt Lucy’s 100th birthday, only for the gift to be stolen.

 

A DOG’S PURPOSE – July 11th

A dog looks to discover his purpose in life over the course of several lifetimes and owners.

 

CARS 3 – July 11th

Lightening McQueen sets out to prove to a new generation of racers the he’s still the best race car in the world.

 

DESPICABLE ME 3 – August 8th

Gru meets his long-lost charming, cheerful, and more successful twin brother, Dru, who wants to team up with him for one last criminal heist.
