3 Retailers Reveal What’s New for You

A few of our retailers here at The Market Common are decking the halls even before the holidays arrive, with changes, additions and renovations galore in store! We know you’ll love all of the sleek updates that will only heighten your shopping experience more on your visit.

C’mon and check it out for yourselves! Here’s a sneak peek of what to expect:

Sunglass Hut, 3069 Howard Ave.

Cheryl Hudson, manager at Sunglass Hut, is excited to announce the reveal of the Hut’s new views! Recent renovations include new flooring, four massive video screens mounted behind checkout that are playing amazing videos, and new facelifts for all of the cabinets, drawers, and display areas at Sunglass Hut. Not only that, but they threw on a fresh coat of paint on the walls, new track lighting and an updated POS software system for smoother, quicker transactions.

“We can’t wait for you to see the new look!” says Hudson. “Stop in and see us!”

Barnes & Noble Booksellers, 3346 Reed St.

Our resident bookstore is opening a new chapter by the second week of November! There’s the holiday set that will bring tons of great holiday inventory for the Christmas season, but Barnes & Noble is also renovating the entire rear section of the store that was once assigned to its music and movies department.

“We won’t be losing music and movies,” says James at Barnes & Noble. “We can’t stress that enough, as many people have been spreading the rumors that music and movies are being removed entirely.”

Instead, this department will be downsized to a smaller area, but most of it will still be available – especially the revival of vinyl records.

The bookstore’s main focus is the addition and expansion of its toys and games department, which will soon live in the rear section of the store that once featured the music and movies. You’ll be able to shop for more kids toys, games, puzzles, educational toys and games that are new to the store’s shelves, as well as loads of unique LEGOS sets. Grownups want to have fun, too! Which is why Barnes & Noble will also be expanding its adult collectibles, games and puzzles for a much wider selection.

Chico’s, 4000 Howard Ave.

While we don’t have too many details at this time, as Chico’s is keeping its major renovations under wraps, we do know its new chic Chico’s interior will be redressed to impress. Doors will reopen for the big reveal on Sunday, Nov. 11!
